QUEEN’S


By Bus:

498 from Brentwood Sainsbury’s direct into Queen’s Hospital.

Journey time approx 30 minutes.

Cost £2.40 single without Oyster card, £1.40 single with Oyster card - free if using ECC Concessionary pass (no time restrictions).


Please note:: the 898 bus serves Brentwood outlying villages to Queen’s Hospital weekdays


By Train and Bus:

From Brentwood Station to Romford Station then 128,193 or 496 bus into Queen’s Hospital.

Journey Time approx 30 minutes.

Cost: £3.20 single on train plus £2.40 single on bus without Oyster card, £1.40 single on bus with Oyster card – train fare is much cheaper after 9.30am weekdays and at weekends; ECC Concessionary pass cannot be used on trains but Oyster cards can.



KING GEORGE


By Bus:

498 from Brentwood Sainsbury’s to Romford Western Road, cross road and take 86 to Chadwell Heath Sainsbury’s then 173 or 362 from same bus stop direct into King George.

Journey time approx 1 hour

Cost £2.40 single for each bus (so £7.20 single) without Oyster card; if using an Oyster card the entire return journey is capped at £4.40.


By Train and Bus:

From Brentwood Station to Goodmayes Station then cross road and take 387 direct into King George.

Journey Time approx 40 minutes.

Cost: £5.10 single on train plus £2.40 single on bus without Oyster card. £1.40 single on bus with Oyster card – train fare is much cheaper after 9.30am weekdays and at weekends; ECC Concessionary pass cannot be used on trains but Oyster cards can.


Please note: Goodmayes Station does not have step free access (no lifts nor ramps); Chadwell Heath Station has a lift which is only open during ticket office hours – it is then a 5 minute walk to the 173 bus stop which serves King George Hospital.
